JADA SAMONE’

Interview

When did it all start?

It all began when I was between eleven and twelve. My go-to show was “America’s Next Top Model”. Even though I was watching the show, I would mock everything the models were doing. I practiced so many different poses. I would throw on different clothes to create unique looks. I would even cut my hair to create various hairstyles just like the models. I was practicing walking everyday to perfect my walk to be able to be on “America’s Next Top Model” some day. I knew I was fascinated with acting when I started to rehearse my favorite TV Shows and movies verbatim. I would get up and act like each one of my favorite characters, I would get online find scripts and just practice day and night that’s when I knew I wanted to be an actor and model! I started contacting and applying for talent agencies, but I didn’t start actually pursuing it until I got older. I officially started pursuing my career this year 2022. I walked in, one of the biggest fashion events with “The Model Experience” for LA Fashion Week.

What is your main motivation or inspiration?

Self-motivation is the force that keeps pushing us to go on— it’s our internal drive to achieve, produce, develop, and keep moving forward. When you think you’re ready to quit something, or you just don’t know how to start, your self-motivation is what pushes you to go on. Anything at all that makes you feel good within yourself is fueled by intrinsic motivation. The main reason I am motivated to pursue a career as a model and actor is because I have a passion for creating, telling and making stories come to life. Someone who truly motivates me to never give up is my son, I want to give him a lifestyle I never had which is important to me and which is a priority.

Define yourself in less than 10 words

I am dynamic, bold and ambitious.

Tell us about your career. Your best experience? And the worst?

My greatest experience so far has been being on the lot of Tyler Perry’s Studios working on various television programs. I used to dream about stepping foot on his lot being a part of different projects and to finally be a part of a couple of them was by far my best experience. In the TV/FILM or modeling industry you will have good and bad days, my worst experience was being told no time and time again. Not having the distinctive look that they were looking for. But being rejected and told NO has made me daring and courageous! Regardless of how many No’s I get it doesn’t stop me from being who I was intended to be. Many doors were shut on me, but a lot of doors got opened up to me.

Any idol or reference?

Oh, I have so many idols! Angela Bassett, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, KJ Smith, Novi Brown, Crystal Renee, KeKe Palmer, Tyler Perry, Steve Harvey, Cynthia Bailey, Devale Ellis, Tami Roman & so many more. Watching all of them on the big screen is so inspiring.

What are your next projects?

I’ve been working on a couple projects in Atlanta at Tyler Perry Studios and I’m working on a project in Richmond, VA. My next big plan is to be behind the making of the camera.

How do you see yourself in 5 years? and in 15 years?

I see myself playing major roles on a lot of television and film programs. I also see myself not just in front of the camera, but behind in staging, production or writing. I see myself working alongside people like “Angela Bassett, Viola Davis, Queen Latifah, Adam Sandler” I can’t wait to create with them. In 15 years I see myself having several companies open in various states, I see myself receiving awards for BEST ACTOR/ACTRESS, winning the academy awards. I will definitely host red carpets, great events, I will be the star of my own TV series. Within 5-15 years the name “Jada Samone’ “ and my story will have a real impact on people and the world. I want to become a storyteller. I’m soon going to create my own films and TV shows.
