Interview

When did it all start?

Since I was born. I studied music when I was a child until I was a teenager. Then, professionally in 2017, after obtaining my degree in Law.

What is your main motivation or inspiration?

“The learnings I get from my personal life experiences”

Define yourself in less than 10 words

Music switches my heart on, so I write and sing songs to switch people’s heart on!

Tell us about your career. Your best experience? And the worst?

My best experience is every time I get on a stage and sing, I record a song in the studio or I record a music video. I can feel this freedom, this pure happiness, my heart switches on and words are not enough to explain how I feel, like in the clouds, and how the audience can make me feel strong with their support. I imagine myself at a concert where the audience sings the lyrics of my songs and I think I’m going to cry. Also, a very important moment of my career was when I won a TV3 contest, and I went to the radio and TV to sing live. I felt so lucky for having received all this support from a lot of people.

As regards the worst, I don’t have a specific worst moment cause, as it is said, when you work on what makes you happy, you don’t care about working until late at night or working lots of hours every day. I don’t even realize what time it is when I am at the studio, for example. Music career is so much work, and sadly, undervalued and unrecognized work because music is something that can’t be seen in a physical way. It’s a kind of art to be heard and felt, it’s not a physical object, it’s an experience, you know? Something that blows in the sky and makes you feel something (actually, I say this in my next single, a song about my music career experience) and for this reason, it’s difficult to be properly valued.

Music career is the result of a lot (highlighting “a lot”) of hours invested working and thinking what is the best way to record everything, what is the best version of each of my songs, how this concert could become a memorable one, etc. So there are lots of times in which you hesitate, you feel so alone, frustrated, literally in panic sometimes because it’s also a rollercoaster job. One month you are fully busy, with lots of concerts, but the next one empty, it’s crazy. Music career is a marathon, and you should embrace how it works and keep going, persevere and never give up.

Any idol or reference?

Alicia Keys, Jessie J, Christina Aguilera, Lizzo, Joss Stone, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Etta James, Jennifer Hudson, Jojo, Teddy Swims, etc.

What are your next projects?

This year I am so honored to play at the Barcelona Jazz Festival on the 26th of November, at Harlem Jazz Club, an amazing venue, where I played in the past. The Harlem Jazz Club team is so dumped in the music, they make you feel so good and well-treated, valued. They are interested in the music and in offering the best experience possible for the musicians and the audience. I am looking forward to this concert. Also, on the 9th of December, I am singing again in the same venue for a really nice project which promotes feminine figures in music.

Furthermore, a new single is coming in 2023! It’s a song dedicated to music, to my music career experience. It’s called “Music switches hearts on” and I can’t wait for it to be released! I don’t have an exact date right now, but I will keep you tuned through my IG!

How do you see yourself in 5 years? and in 15 years?

Short-term thinking, I would love to play in Apolo venue, my favorite place in Barcelona. It’s one of my dreams.

Long-term thinking, I always dreamed ’bout doing a tour abroad. I would love to sing in Madrid, Balearic Islands, Amsterdam, Austria, Prague, Budapest, London, Oxford, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Edinburgh, Hamburg, Torino. I’ve been to all these places. I love travelling (another of my passions in life) and while doing so I feel like home, so I would love to play in any of those places. I like to think big, dream big or go home, right?
